I grew up in Toms River, NJ and spent most of my childhood and young adulthood at the beach.

All eyes staring

They’re looking at me, looking at me

They know me better than me

Can they see, I don’t know me?

My world is silent

But I speak my mind

Since I’m alone

And the wind is blowing

My mind blows too

But I speak my mind

Since I’m alone

If everyone could hear me

They’d know what I really am

Am I really me?

Insanity travels upon it's journey
stops at a place to rest
upon a mind of comfort
all to try his best
on providing himself with luxuries
of a closed peaceful home
seclusion on the part of the beholder
secretly faces his roam.

Restless in sleep he makes an entrance.
We speak of his kind too often.
Once quietly invaded with peace,
the body's trapped in a coffin.
How lightly we've come to use his terms
unmistakably guided by reason
for each freak of nature
constitutes trademark of treason.

The wellest of minds fall at his feet
all to create our pleasures.
I admire these people tremendously
I'd like to gather their treasures.
Collective images cannot be reproduced
but attached by a common goal.
Gathered by onlookers
performing a specific role.

Some are lead into isolation
corrected by the taught
who know not the genius
but make sure the mind is caught
into terms from the doctor's pen
invented for our protection
in order to save the boring
categorized by selection.

These minds are all too perfect
on the expression of thought
though hard to interpret,
it's something I've sought
to gain that depth of reason
beyond sanity but in control
gaining from the intellect
not the saving of the soul.

Wanted Wanted: Son Rays

Hair brown lips scarlet

Age 5300 days

Profession none or Starlet

Where are you hiding Son Rays

Why are you hiding darling

I talk in a daze, I walk in a maze

“I can not get out”, said the Starling

Where are you riding Son Rays

What make is the magic carpet

Is a cream cougar the present craze

And where are you parked my car pet

Who is your hero Son Rays

Still one of those blue-eyed caped star-men?

On the balmy days and the palmy bays

And the cars and the bars

My Carmen

The ring from the phone

Broke my ears

Now I can hear

You; my dear

Did you say you saw a diamond ring

Or was it a piece of dirt?

Your sunglasses are crooked

I thought – how can you

see out of no eyes.

I can’t hear

And you are blind

Are we poor or out of our minds?

When you saw this

I might hear wrong

You might not have seen a thing

But an old diamond ring

YOUR CAR

Break in the new shoes

Your car blew up

I was walking by

When I saw the fire

What made you hated?

Was it something you said

Obviously your car didn’t like you either

Your car had a fever

And you didn’t know

JUST THROW IT AWAY

Just throw it away

Why do you keep it hanging here

Just throw it away

You never speak

You have no eyes

Everything dies

Just throw it away

It hangs here like an angry cat

Wiping it’s feet on a welcome mat

But you’re not welcome here

Just throw it away.
